I've decided to plant a little tree today. Soon it will be joined by millions, hopefully. My little tree can be found here, it's only a few minutes old right now. In time, it will grow to be a strong and tall Acacia Senegal providing goodies like arabic gum.
It's part of the tree nation ecological project. So what is that you might ask. Well, it is a project with a focussed objective: to plant 8 million trees, primarily in Niger, to help fight deforestation and desertification. The result will, hopefully, be a bit more wealth for people there and a bit less desert.
