Guanajuato

I arrived in Guanajuato almost 4 weeks ago, and I see I haven´t really been updating the blog. Well, except for the little update on scorpion encounters. I have been quite busy; studying Spanish. I noticed that the first week was the toughest. Perhaps that´s understandable too, you go from knowing nothing about a language to knowing bits and pieces. The weeks after is building upon things already know as well as learning new stuff, but you do already have some things to hold on to, some ways in which to express yourself. It was fun to study again, though getting used to waking up early in the morning and being at class at 9 again, took some getting used too. Nevertheless, I liked it, liked it a lot.

Guanajuato itself is also really nice. I quite like this place. Perhaps, I was influenced by arriving here from Vegas. GTO is everything Vegas isn´t. It is an small, old town in the mountains with a Unesco protected historic centre, many cathedrals, some amazing theatres and musicians playing in the streets. In short, it has culture, and lots of it. I can see myself coming back here at same point, do some more studying here.
