I arrived in San Francisco about two weeks ago, after a long 12 hour flight from Hong Kong - crossed the dateline, yay! San Francisco and Hong Kong are unfortunately almost mirror images of each other, time-wise. Day is night, mornings are evenings, pfff. I think I must have seen every coffee place in town. San Francisco is a nice place, good music scene too. I took advantage of the exchange rates to do some shopping and replace a large part of the stuff I'd been carrying around. Clothes, shoes, daypack were all in desperate need of replacement.
Now in Vegas, about to go Mexico. The place attracts crowds, so some people must like it. I really don't see the attraction of it though. It's like a tacky British sea-side resort; only on a lager scale, in the desert. If you've seen one casino with never-ending buffets and square-eyed, half-asleep people continously putting money in the sloth machines, you've really seen them all. It's fun to see it once though.
