Visited Ouro Preto today. Ouro Preto was a small mining village about 100kms south of Belo Horizonte and about 300kms north of Rio de Janeiro. The city changed when they found gold in the 1700s, and as result the city boasts a huge number of churches and theatres. You can see the city was rather rich; lots of houses in European colonial style, cobbled streets. I really like these type of small, colonial towns. Tomorrow back to Rio de Janeiro...Location:R.
