Last Week in Amsterdam Series: Okura Revisited

Last week in Amsterdam! Many things to do and still one thing on the must-see list. Moving the last of my stuff into storage is planned for the coming weekend and the packing-my-stuff-into-big-boxes process has already begun.

The end of my stay in Amsterdam was started off by a visit to the twenty-third floor of the Okura last saturday. Not for the great sushi this time, but for the great view. They have this nice little bar on the twenty-third floor, very creatively called the Twenty Third bar -I can only imagine the hours and hours of brainstorming that most have gone into that one :) - with a spectaculair view.

I was actually lying a bit when talking about the great view only early on (don't know if you noticed). We were there also for the nice food of course. Ciel Bleu will be undergoing complete renovations soon, but we managed to get reservations in none the less. The whole food, wine, food decorations thingie was just perfect, as you would expect. I especially loved my chocolate cake that I got for dessert: it seemed to bleed this heavy-liquidly chocolate when cut... I just couldn't stop cutting it :)
