Tulipmania

Ein-de-lijk! Temperatures over the weekend measured 28 degrees and upwards. Spring is here to stay and it seems that an early summer is just around the corner! I love these long summer (ok ok spring) evenings, it seems like even the smell of the air changes, like it's sweeter somehow. Perhaps it's the flowers finally in bloom. Weekend discoveries included a bottle of rosé that is one of the finest I've tasted in years and a very annoying nzzz sound followed by itching sensation on my right arm. Bah. "They're back". Highpoint of the weekend was a visit to the keukenhof, one of the nicest garden here in NL. It is almost in full bloom, and filled up with Germans, Japanese... oops, hm, well, tulips and all other sorts flowers. My camera was in heaven and photos can be found here. The keukenhof is located in the midst of the bollenvelden, the flowerfields, an amazing sight. Unfortunately, time didn't permit for a trip to the fields, but it's something I'll have to go back for. My camera would never forgive me...
